In 1988, I meet the most beautiful woman both inside and out. Michelle and I were later married in 1992 and since that time we have had a great journey together beginning our family and our professional carriers.

After graduating Huntland High School in 1990, I continued my education at Motlow State Community College and in 1992 received an Associate of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In 1994, I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University. My post graduate studies at Tennessee State University in 1999 tenured my Master’s In Education degree in Administration and Supervision. In 2002, I obtained an Educational Leadership Specialist in Education degree from Tennessee Technological University.

Since 1994, while serving in the Franklin County School District, I have been a classroom teacher, curriculum facilitator, extended school director, Adult Basic Education teacher, elementary, middle and high school principal.

Awards include, Disney’s American Teacher Nominee, Franklin County’s Tennessee Science Teacher of the Year, Sallie Mae Teacher of the Year, Who’s Among Students of American Universities and Colleges, Gamma Beta Phi, Who’s Who of American Junior Colleges, Golden Key National Honor Society, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year, and most recently Principal of the Year.

Among honors in which Huntland School has held during my tenure as principal are U.S. News and World Report Best High School Bronze Medal 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017.

Michelle and I have been married twenty-five years and have two children and two grandchildren. Courtney 21 (Aaron) Jones—Noraa and Neyland and William Thomas 5. Our family is the love and pure enjoyment of our lives.
