Huntland Schools' Spanish II students are studying immigration, including why and how people choose to immigrate to the United States by completing visa and green card application forms. Students were divided into groups and assigned an immigrant category (naturalization, petition for family member, refugee, fiance, employment in US, or lottery/diversity immigrant visa program). Throughout the process of researching immigration rules and filling out forms for their specific category, students experienced the difficulties that immigrants face when applying to work and live in the US.
