Parents/Guardians of Huntland School students...please read slowly and carefully the following message.

I hope this finds you and your family healthy and safe. Our teachers have been diligently working to prepare packets for every student in our school. Our goal is to keep your student engaged during our time away from school. We are aware that many students do not have access to the internet in our area. These packets include materials that do not require internet access, as well as activities that do include websites that may be accessed IF you have internet and a device available. All packets will have a specific agenda with specific directions.

Due to safety concerns, we are not distributing any of the Chromebooks from school. If a Chromebook was left at school before Spring Break, it will remain until we return after April 24.

We have devised a plan to distribute the packets to all students. We will be at school to hand out these materials from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm on Monday, March 30, Tuesday, March 31, and Wednesday, April 1. Please pull up to the front of the building as if you are in the drop off/pick up line. Have the following information on a piece of paper: Student Name and Grade Level. For elementary students, please also include their homeroom teacher's name. For middle school, include their section number (for example 6A or 6B). For high school, write the student’ s name and grade level. Hand the paper to the teacher in the line, and they will come inside and gather your students' take home packets.

Each packet is broken down into work for the four weeks we are scheduled to be out. This should be brought back to school on the Monday following the week the assignment is made. The first week's work will be due on April 6, the second week's work is due on April 13, the third week's work is due on April 20, and the fourth week's work is due on April 27, which is the tentative date for us to return to school. Some teachers/grade levels have asked that all materials be returned on April 27, rather than each week. There will be large bins outside the high school building for you to put your work in. They will be labeled Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Please label all your work with assignment name and student name and place them in the appropriate bins.

The administrators, faculty, and staff will miss you during this time. We love each of you and pray that our entire Huntland School family will be safely back together on Monday, April 27.
