I attended Huntland School from K-12 grade. I then went to Motlow State Community College and transferred to Athens State University where I received my BA in Elem. Ed. During my first year of teaching, I went to Tennessee State University where I recieved my MA in Administration and Supervision. I have been teaching for 21 years. My first year teaching was at Highland Rim Elementary in Fayetteville, TN where I taught 4th grade. I have been at Huntland for the past 20 years where I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I am married to Rusty Burt and have three children, Mikayla, Miles, and Makston.
