Important Information:

*Please see weekly newsletters and monthly calendars for important dates and upcoming events. 

*Our classroom library is available using the link below. 

*Timed reading is a great tool to improve reading fluency.  Research has chosen that repeated readings help students decode faster and commit "Tricky Words" to memory.  Please read each night.  Don't forget to write down your numbers and initials.  

*Remember to check BEE Books daily.  Please send all communications to and from school in the plastic homework folder. 

*Please send all money to school in a labeled envelope/bag.  Pleases label with name and purpose. 

*Check the newsletter for "Tricky Words"  Students should be able to read these words independently.

9:40-10:20- CKLA Knowledge

10:20-10:50- Lunch

10:50-11:41- Specials

11:41-12:00- Restroom/Complete Knowedge

12:00-12:40- Math

12:40- 1:25- SWARM Time

1:25-2:00- Complete Math/Calendar 

2:00-2:30- RECESS

2:30-2:45- Snack/Pack-up

2:50- Dismissal

Bio

This is my 18th year of teaching at Huntland School.  I have taught first grade for seventeen years. I love first grade! I love to teach reading and phonics.  We will work hard this year to build reading fluency and create a love for reading. 

 I am also the mother of three.  Charlie is in middle school and Bo  & Sydney are in the fifth grade.  We love to spend our time at the racetrack and the ball field.
